Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Police Pension Fund hired Marquette Associates as an investment consultant, pending contract negotiations, said Christina Coyle, finance director, in an e-mail.
The $27 million pension fund did not previously have an investment consultant. Lori Thomas, assistant finance director, previously told Pensions & Investments that its investment manager, Jay Co., acted “in lieu of a consultant.”
An RFP was issued last year for a non-discretionary investment consultant.
The pension fund has target ranges of 50% domestic bonds, 30% to 50% U.S. equities, 5% cash equivalents and zero to 10% international equities.
