Jeremy Thomas was appointed head of global equities at Sarasin & Partners, a spokeswoman said.
It is a new position. Mr. Thomas will manage institutional mandates and funds. Based in London, he will be responsible for managing a team of thematic equity analysts and report to Subitha Subramaniam, chief economist and head of asset management.
Mr. Thomas was portfolio manager, global equities Allianz Global Investors, where he managed global and U.K. equity mandates; he left in June, a spokesman for Allianz GI said. Lucy Macdonald, chief investment officer of global equities at Allianz GI took on sole management of the Brunner Investment Trust, which she previously co-managed with Mr. Thomas, the spokesman said.
