Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, approved committing a total of $275 million to three private equity funds, said Pamela Hile, spokeswoman for the $26 billion pension fund.
At its meeting Wednesday, the board approved a commitment of up to $100 million to FSN Capital V, a Nordic region buyout fund.
It also committed up to $100 million to buyout fund Platinum Equity Capital Partners IV, as well as up to $75 million to Providence Strategic Growth II, a growth fund managed by Providence Equity Partners.
PennSERS has existing relationships with all three managers.
The commitments are subject to successful contract negotiations.
