Mark Brenke was named co-head of private debt at alternative investment firm Ardian, said spokeswoman Emma Murphy in an e-mail.
It is a new position. Mr. Brenke has worked at Ardian for more than two years as a managing director. He will lead the private debt group alongside Olivier Berment, the other co-head of private debt. Mr. Berment has worked at Ardian for 13 years. Mr. Berment had been sole head of Ardian’s private debt team.
In September, Ardian closed its latest private debt fund with €2 billion ($2.2 billion), Ms. Murphy said. Half of the committed capital has been invested.
Ardian has $60 billion in assets under management overall.
