Anahita Firouzbakht was appointed director, consultant relations, at BlueBay Asset Management.
Ms. Firouzbakht will be based in London, reporting to Cenk Turkinan, partner and head of institutional sales and consultants. She will focus on managing and enhancing the manager's relationships with institutional investment consultants.
Whether the position is new could not be learned by press time.
“Many institutional investors continue to be highly dependent on increment consultants in their unabated search for the most attractive risk-adjusted returns to reduce their funding gaps, and in navigating this challenging investment environment,” Mr. Turkinan said in a news release. “(Ms. Firouzbakht’s) extensive experience in managing relations with consultants will ensure we are maintaining and building closer partnerships with influential investment advisers to offer the most suitable fixed-income solutions.”
BlueBay has $55 billion in assets under management.
Ms. Firouzbakht was vice president on the global consultant team at Pictet Asset Management, the news release said.
