Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, Dublin, hired eight money managers for global portfolio transaction strategy and management services, said a spokesman for the National Treasury Management Agency, which manages and controls the sovereign development fund.
A search was launched on behalf of the €8 billion ($8.8 billion) fund in July.
Goldman Sachs Asset Management, J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Irish Life Investment Managers were all hired under one contract; and Amundi, AQR Capital Management, BlackRock, Muzinich and Blackstone Group to run another contract.
These are new hires “arising from the change in mandate from the former National Pensions Reserve Fund to the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund,” the spokesman said in an e-mail.
Further details were not being released at this time, he said.
