Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for an actuarial consultant, spokesman Michael Pramik said.
The $87.3 billion retirement system, which includes $75 billion in defined benefit plan assets, issued an RFP because the five-year extension of Gabriel Roeder Smith's original five-year contract will expire Dec. 31. The firm is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 1 p.m. EST on Nov. 10. Finalist presentations are scheduled for Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. A five-year contract is scheduled to begin Jan. 1.
