Olivier Cassin was appointed head of institutional distribution Europe at BNY Mellon Investment Management, a spokesman said.
The position is new, and Mr. Cassin is based in London.
Mr. Cassin reports to Matt Oomen, head of international distribution, and leads and manages the $1.7 trillion money management firm's European institutional sales team, responsible for developing relationships and business from institutional clients, a news release said.
The spokesman for BNY Mellon Investment Management said in an e-mail that “as a multiboutique money manager, this role strengthens the firm's centralized international distribution function and will further provide local distribution capabilities for our investment boutiques.”
Mr. Cassin was head of U.K. and Ireland institutional sales and head of consultant relations at Lyxor Asset Management, the release said. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment by press time.
