Nigel Peaple was named deputy director for defined contribution, lifetime savings and research at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association, said a spokesman for the association.
The position is new, and represents the breadth of work the association will be taking forward in DC and beyond, added the spokesman.
Mr. Peaple leads policy work on DC and lifetime savings, and is also responsible for research and European Union engagement. “(Mr. Peaple) brings with him a tremendous wealth of experience gained from within the public and private sector,” said Graham Vidler, director of external affairs at the association, in a news release.
Mr. Peaple was most recently at the Department for Work and Pensions, where he was a policy fellow. He has also worked at The Pensions Regulator as head of corporate affairs and director of policy.
