Jeffrey Akers was named head of secondary investments at alternatives manager Adams Street Partners, a spokesman said.
Mr. Akers, who has been and will remain partner, will oversee the manager’s secondary business including fundraising, investments, portfolio construction and strategy.
He replaces Jason Gull, also a partner, who will retire from Adams Street at the end of 2016 to spend more time with his family.
Mr. Akers also joins Adams Street Partners’ executive committee and is a member of the secondary investments committee.
