Adrian Furnell was named U.K. pensions manager for Uniper, said a spokeswoman for the Germany-based energy company.
Uniper was spun off as a separate legal entity from its former parent company energy firm E.ON at the start of the year.
Uniper, whose U.K. business is based in Coventry, England, has two U.K. retirement plans: the Uniper U.K. Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, and a defined contribution plan. On March 23, the DB fund “transferred in assets of £272 million ($353 million) … from the E.ON U.K. PLC pension scheme in respect of employees which transferred to the Uniper group,” said Uniper U.K. Ltd’s published accounts for the year ended Dec. 31, 2015.
Further details on his role and start date could not be learned by press time. Mr. Furnell’s previous role could not be confirmed by press time.
