Kern County, Bakersfield, Calif., is searching for a record keeper for its two 457 plans, said Chase Nunneley, the county’s assistant treasurer-tax collector.
The county issued an RFP due to the pending expiration of current record keeper Empower Retirement’s contract on Oct. 1, 2017. The firm is invited to rebid.
The two plans have a combined $447 million in assets.
Proposals are due at 5 p.m. PST on Jan. 6. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on the county’s website. Registration is required.
