New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, committed $196 million to IK VIII Fund, according to a posting on the website of State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, the sole trustee of the $181 billion pension fund.
Managed by IK Investment Partners, the private equity fund concentrates on investments in companies in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Nordic nations, said a transaction report on the pension fund's website.
This is a new relationship for the pension fund, and was the sole transaction in August.
