Plano (Texas) Retirement Security Plan is searching for its first investment consultant, said Andrea Cockrell, administrative services manager for the city.
Oversight of investment managers and other consulting responsibilities are currently handled by the $123 million defined benefit plan’s investment committee. Ms. Cockrell previously told Pensions & Investments that engaging an outside investment consultant would remove some of that “burden” from the investment committee.
The selected firm will also provide consulting services for the city’s other $68 million post-employment benefits trust.
The RFP is available on procurement website BidSync. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on Nov. 4 with a potential hiring decision in January.
