El Paso (Texas) Firemen & Policemen Pension Fund committed $9 million to Vector Fund V, said Tyler C. Grossman, executive director of the $1.25 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
The buyout fund invests in midsize technology companies and is managed by Vector Capital. It is the pension fund’s first commitment to a Vector Capital fund.
The pension fund had a 10% private equity target.
