Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, Harrisburg, is searching for an active international value equity manager to run about $85 million and an active international growth equity manager to run about $74 million.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $2 billion pension fund, is assisting with the searches.
The search is being conducted to comply with state law that requires contracts to be put out to bid every few years, said William E. Dahab, principal and director of research for Dahab Associates.
The pension fund currently has HGK Asset Management as its value manager and Johnston Asset Management as its growth manager. Both managers are invited to rebid, said Mr. Dahab.
The RFPs can be found on Dahab’s website. Proposals for the value search are due by 5 p.m. EDT on Oct. 19; proposals for the growth search are due by 5 p.m. EDT on Oct. 25. Selection dates have not yet been determined.
