Local Authorities Pension Plan, Edmonton, Alberta, is searching for a vice president, investment policy and risk management, for the C$35 billion ($26.9 billion) pension fund.
Responsibilities include leading the development of LAPP's investment policies, portfolio structure, and risk monitoring and management, according to executive search firm Davies Polk, which is conducting the search. Also, the selected candidate will work with the C$90 billion Alberta Investment Management Corp., Edmonton, which manages the pension fund's assets based on the LAPP's allocation.
The selected candidate would replace Laurence Waring, who is retiring, said Sheri Wright, vice president, stakeholder relations.
