Illinois State Treasurer's Office, Springfield, is searching for a program manager for its $4.1 billion Bright Start Direct 529 plan, said a spokeswoman for the treasurer's office in an e-mail.
The selected firm will provide administration, record keeping and investment management, among other services.
The search is being conducted because the contract of current provider, OppenheimerFunds, will expire in July; OppenheimerFunds is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's website.
Proposals are due by 2 p.m. CDT on Oct. 21. Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of Oct. 31 with a hiring decision the week of Nov. 14.
AKF Consulting is the plan's administrative consultant and Marquette Associates is the plan's investment consultant.
