Steven R. Swanson was named executive director of the $806 million Chicago Firemen's Annuity & Benefit Fund, said Timothy J. McPhillips, board trustee and interim executive director.
Mr. Swanson starts Oct. 3. He replaces Kenneth Kaczmarz, who retired as executive director on June 30.
Mr. Swanson is currently the director of finance for the Chicago Fire Department.
