Cape Breton University Retirement Plan for Employees, Sydney, Nova Scotia, is searching for a provider of actuarial, pension and investment consulting services, according to the university’s RFP.
The plan is a hybrid defined contribution plan and group Registered Retirement Savings Plan, a savings account taxed upon withdrawal.
The plan has eight investment options and a suite of target-date funds managed by Sun Life Investments, according to the plan’s investment policy statement.
Mercer is the current actuary and consultant.
The RFP can be found at NS Tenders, Nova Scotia’s public procurement website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. Atlantic Daylight Time Sept. 21. No date for a selection was listed in the RFP.
