Fekko Ebbens was named head of institutional business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at UBS Asset Management, said a spokesman.
The position is new. Mr. Ebbens adds the new role to his existing responsibilities as market head for Benelux and Denmark.
The manager has 633 billion Swiss francs ($645.4 billion) in assets under management.
