James Wright joined Northern Trust as head of its institutional investor group in the U.K., Ireland and Guernsey.
It is a new position. He is based in London and supports Northern Trust clients’ business needs through an extensive range of asset servicing, capital markets, liquidity and data solutions, a spokeswoman said.
“We understand the pressures institutional investors are facing — particularly asset owners who manage their assets in house,” Penelope Biggs, head of the institutional investor group, for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in a news release.
Mr. Wright joins from J.P. Morgan Chase, where he was head of sales and relationship management. Officials at J.P. Morgan could not be reached for comment by press time.
