Laurent Renaud joined Lyxor Asset Management in Tokyo as CEO of the firm’s Japan business.
He replaces Toshiro Kubozono, who retired following a nine-year stint, said a Hong Kong-based spokesman.
Mr. Renaud comes to the affiliate of Societe Generale Group from BNP Paribas Investment Partners, where he served as chief operating officer; he left mid-2015. The Lyxor spokesman said Mr. Renaud “took some time off” over the past year.
BNP Paribas’ spokesman in Tokyo couldn’t immediately be reached for details regarding Mr. Renaud’s replacement as chief operating officer.
