The role is new; Mr. Wall reports to Peter Hofbauer, head of infrastructure.
Mr. Wall is responsible for originating, analyzing and executing investments, and is also responsible for the governance of portfolio companies. He also joined the infrastructure investment committee at the £26 billion ($34.6 billion) money manager.
“(Mr. Wall's) in-depth industry experience and deep understanding of direct global infrastructure investment will help us continue to serve our clients' interests and grow the business from the current £3.9 billion of assets under management,” said Mr. Hofbauer in a news release.
Mr. Wall was a principal in the infrastructure team at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto, which manages the assets of the C$287.3 billion ($221.1 billion) Canada Pension Plan, Ottawa. A spokeswoman for CPPIB said the board is still in the process of recruiting for the position.
