Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Houston, rehired Empower Retirement as bundled provider for its 457 plan and two 401(a) plans, said a spokeswoman in an e-mail.
An RFP was issued in March because Empower’s contract was due to expire Dec. 31.
As of June 30, 2015, the plans had approximately $86.1 million in assets combined. One of the 401(a) plans — the Employee Savings Plan — was closed to new contributions on Jan. 1.
