Sandy Rattray was named chief investment officer of Man Group with oversight of the company's investment units — Man AHL, Man GLG, Man Numeric and Man Solutions.
Mr. Rattray will remain CEO of Man AHL, said Michael Turner, a Man Group spokesman.
The CIO duties were part of Luke Ellis' previous role as president of Man Group until he became CEO on Thursday.
Jonathan Sorrell, president and chief financial officer of Man Group, will hand off his CFO duties to Mark Jones, currently co-CEO of Man GLG. Mr. Sorrell's role as president has been expanded to include direct responsibility for Man FRM, private markets, mergers and acquisitions, sales and corporate strategy, according to a Man Group news release.
Teun Johnston now is the sole CEO for Man GLG, while Pierre-Henri Flamand, a portfolio manager, added the title of CIO, a new position.
“I am pleased to congratulate a number of my high-caliber colleagues at Man Group on their new roles at what was a natural time to review our management structure,” Mr. Ellis said in the release, adding “the firm has changed a great deal in the past few years and with my own role also changing, it made sense to look at the way we are organized and where different responsibilities should lie, so we have the optimal structure in place.”
