Melissa Tuttle, executive vice president and global head of equity trading at Pacific Investment Management Co., has left the firm and is not being replaced, spokesman Michael Reid said.
Ms. Tuttle was based in London. Her departure comes as fixed-income oriented PIMCO has moved out of active equities. The firm eliminated its equity-focused dividend investment team in June, laying off team members and has closed at least nine equity mutual funds and other separate account equity strategies in the past 16 months.
