Columbia (Mo.) Public Schools hired TIAA-CREF as its single record keeper for its 403(b) and 457 plans, said Barbara Hofstetter, retirement analyst at consultant CBIZ, which assisted with the search, in an e-mail.
School system officials issued an RFP in April for a single record keeper as “part of their ongoing oversight of the plans,” Ms. Hofstetter said at the time.
The incumbent record keepers were Edward Jones for the 457 plan, LaBrunerie Financial for the 403(b) plan and CUNA Mutual Group for both plans. LaBrunerie Financial was a finalist along with Alerus Retirement Solutions. Edward Jones declined to rebid.
The plans have combined assets of $12 million.
