Oregon Investment Council, Tigard, approved a separate contract with private equity consultant TorreyCove Capital Partners for the pension fund’s $2.7 billion alternatives portfolio and $1.3 billion opportunity portfolio for two years with the possibility of a two-year extension.
In the past, TorreyCove had been the primary consultant on all three portfolios. General investment consultant Callan Associates had provided “occasional” due diligence for the portfolios, a report to the council stated.
Currently, the council is in the midst of a search for a private equity consultant because TorreyCove’s contract is about to expire. The council could select a private equity consultant as early as its Sept. 14 meeting, Mr. Sinks said. It has $13.8 billion in assets in the private equity portfolio.
