Cuong Nguyen joined PGIM Real Estate as head of Asia-Pacific investment research, spokesman Brendan Duffy said in an e-mail.
The position has been vacant since November 2013 when Henry Chin moved to CBRE as its head of research, Asia-Pacific.
Peter Hayes, managing director and global head of investment research, had assumed oversight of research in Asia-Pacific on an interim basis until Mr. Nguyen was hired, Mr. Duffy said in a separate e-mail.
Mr. Nguyen will lead PGIM’s Asia-Pacific research and join the Asia-Pacific investment committee. He is based in Singapore and reports to Mr. Hayes.
Mr. Nguyen was head of Asia Pacific research and strategy at M&G Real Estate. Irene Chambers, spokeswoman for M&G Real Estate could not be immediately reached for information on Mr. Nguyen’s replacement.
