Lawrence, Kan., is searching for its first investment consultant for its roughly $25 million 457 plan, said an RFP provided by benefits specialist Michelle Spreer.
The RFP is available on procurement website Onvia DemandStar. Registration is required.
Proposals are due by Aug. 29 with finalist interviews scheduled for Sept. 12-15 and a hiring decision around Sept. 20. Along with consulting on the plan's lineup, the selected firm will assist with a search for a 457 plan record keeper. The record keeper search is being conducted as a due-diligence measure. An RFP is expected in mid-October
Current record keeper Transamerica Retirement Solutions is invited to rebid. A timeline for a hiring decision has not been set.
