Richard Mo joined Old Mutual Global Investors in Hong Kong Monday as head of the firm's China business.
The position is new. Mr. Mo will report to Carol Wong, the firm's managing director, Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Mo will be responsible for developing relationships with regulators, global financial institutions and distributors in the region, with a focus on China, said a London-based spokeswoman for the firm.
Mr. Mo left his previous role as head of China retail business with J.P. Morgan Asset Management at the start of the year. He was replaced at that time by Henry Tong, who previously had been vice president of intermediary business at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
