Michael A. Condon was named senior vice president, outsourced chief investment officer, at Fund Evaluation Group, said spokeswoman Kathryn Mawer.
It is a new position that will help enhance the firm’s OCIO offerings, said an FEG news release.
Mr. Condon, who started Monday, reports to Rebecca Wood, managing principal and head of consulting at FEG.
Previously, Mr. Condon was treasurer and chief investment officer at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, where he oversaw the university's $1.5 billion endowment. University spokesman Kent Best could not immediately be reached for information on a replacement. Mr. Condon resigned from the university on March 24. Christine Regis, the university's chief business and financial officer, has been filling in as interim treasurer/CIO.
FEG has approximately $50 billion in assets under advisement, which includes $3.6 billion in discretionary assets.
