Chatham County Employee Retirement Plan, Savannah, Ga., hired Chatham Capital Group and Matarin Capital Management to run $7.5 million each in active domestic small-cap core equities, said Amy Davis, the county's finance director, in an e-mail.
The $206 million pension fund issued an RFP in December for a manager to replace DePrince, Race & Zollo, which ran $15 million in a similar portfolio, for performance reasons. DRZ has since been terminated.
Kelly Carbone, DRZ managing partner, director of marketing, was not available to provide comment by press time.
Investment consultant Dahab Associates assisted.
