Eiji Sakaguchi will join CBRE in Tokyo on Oct. 3 as president and CEO of the real estate firm’s business in Japan.
A CBRE news release Tuesday said Mr. Sakaguchi will take over those titles from Ben Duncan, who added the role of the firm's North Asia president at the start of 2015. Mr. Sakaguchi will report to Hong Kong-based Mr. Duncan.
As president and CEO of CBRE's Japan business, Mr. Sakaguchi will oversee the firm's 10 offices and 1,200 employees in the country.
Mr. Sakaguchi will come to CBRE from Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, where he served as managing director and head of real estate.
A Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
