Margaret Frost was named head of institutional U.K. at Allianz Global Investors, said a spokesman.
Ms. Frost takes on the role from Phil Dawes, who is now head of U.K. institutional sales. She will start Oct. 1. Further details could not be learned by press time.
Ms. Frost will lead AllianzGI’s sales, consultant relations and client account management in the U.K., and will report to Irshaad Ahmad, head of institutional Europe. She will also be responsible for coordinating AllianzGI’s global consultant relations activities.
Ms. Frost was previously head of the generalist portfolio management team for Rogge Global Partners, which was acquired by AllianzGI in June. The spokesman said she will be retaining some of those responsibilities in her new role.
“Joining forces with Rogge Global Partners has enhanced our investment capabilities and brought new colleagues and clients into our firm,” said Mr. Ahmad in the news release. “We know we have a wealth of talent in RGP and our U.K. distribution team here at AllianzGI, so the opportunity to put them together is very exciting.”
AllianzGI has more than €435 billion ($482.1 billion) in assets under management.
