David Linds was named managing director and head of asset servicing, global client coverage, at RBC Investor & Treasury Services.
The position is new, said spokeswoman Briana D'Archi.
Mr. Linds will be responsible for asset servicing sales and client coverage, including Canadian subcustody, and will support RBC's global client coverage, Ms. D'Archi said.
Mr. Linds was senior vice president, business development and relationship management at CIBC Mellon. Mr. Linds retired from CIBC Mellon in July 2015, said Paul Cunliffe, CIBC Mellon spokesman. Rob Ferguson, senior vice president, relationship management, capital markets and product delivery at CIBC Mellon, took on Mr. Linds' duties, Mr. Cunliffe said
RBC Investor & Treasury Services had C$3.96 trillion ($3 trillion) in assets under custody and administration as of April 30.
