Hampshire County Retirement System, Northampton, Mass., is searching for an international equity manager to run $35 million.
The $256 million pension plan is seeking managers that have pooled investment vehicles, at least $450 million in assets under management and a performance track record of at least 10 years, according to the RFP.
The plan has a 13.5% allocation to international equity, said Patrick Brock, board chairman. No managers are being terminated, he said.
Investment consultant NEPC is assisting. The RFP is available on its website.
Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT Aug. 25. A selection is expected by late fall, Mr. Brock said.
The search is to comply with Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Commission rules that contracts are put out to bid at least once every five years, Mr. Brock said.
