Richard Scarinci was named a partner at Partners Capital, said a spokesman in an e-mail.
Mr. Scarinci, who starts in September, will lead the outsourced CIO firm's existing client relationships in North America and support the firm’s research efforts to identify the best active liquid managers globally.
Mr. Scarinci did not replace anyone but is an addition to the Partners Capital team. He reports to Stan Miranda, CEO of Partners Capital.
Previously, Mr. Scarinci was a managing director in Blackstone Alternative Asset Management’s hedge fund solutions group. His responsibilities have been assumed by existing staff.
Partners Capital manages more than $17 billion on behalf of endowments, foundations, pension funds and ultra high-net-worth families.
