Pensions & Investments' 2015 editorial and design work has been recognized in two business publication contests, with the newspaper taking home nearly a dozen awards.
P&I won seven national and regional awards in the American Society of Business Press Editors contest. And the newspaper won four awards in the Trade, Association and Business Publications International contest.
P&I won ASBPE awards in the following categories:
nPremium content section: A national Gold Award went to Aaron M. Cunningham, Anthony Scuderi and James McClure for their redesign of P&I's Research Center. The trio also won a Gold Award in the Upper Midwest regional ASBPE contest.
nGovernment coverage: A national Gold Award went to reporter Hazel Bradford for her Washington-based stories. Ms. Bradford also won a Gold Award in the regional ASBPE contest.
nOverall headline writing: A national Silver Award went to editors Elizabeth Karier, Peter J. Retzbach and Colette Jordan. They also received a Gold Award in the regional contest.
nHumorous/fun department: A regional Bronze Award went to Ms. Jordan, Gregg A. Runburg and the P&I staff for P&I's Frontlines page.
In the TABPI contest, P&I was recognized in the following categories:
nSpecial Section: Bronze, to the P&I staff for its Largest Retirement Funds report.
nFront Cover, Special Issue: Bronze, to Mr. Runburg for the design of P&I's Largest Money Managers report.
nDepartment: Honorable mention, to Mr. Runburg, Ms. Jordan and the P&I staff for Frontlines.
