Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, Oklahoma City, named three finalists in its search for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to manage about $233 million, said Joseph A. Fox, executive director, in an e-mail.
The finalists — MFS Investment Management, Westfield Capital Management and William Blair — have been invited to make presentations to the pension fund’s investment committee on Aug. 18. A hiring decision could be made the same day.
An RFP was issued in April.
The manager selected is expected to replace BlackRock’s $233 million passive domestic large-cap equity portfolio.
BlackRock passively or actively manages about $4.5 billion total across five other strategies, which will be retained.
The $8.3 billion pension fund has a 38% domestic large-cap equity target.
