Wyoming Retirement System, Cheyenne, hired Meketa Investment Group as investment consultant, said Sam Masoudi, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.
The $7.4 billion pension fund issued an RFP in February because the pension fund had reached the end of its allowable contract extensions for incumbent investment consultant NEPC.
NEPC was a finalist, along with Pension Consulting Alliance and RVK.
Separately, William Ziomek joined the pension fund as senior investment officer responsible for marketable equities, Mr. Masoudi said.
Mr. Ziomek replaced Douglas Kidd, who left the pension fund in March.
Mr. Ziomek previously was investment director and investment generalist covering traditional assets and alternative investments at the $11 billion Kamehameha Schools Endowment, Honolulu.
Kamehameha Schools spokesman Kevin Cockett could not be immediately reached for further information.
