Maine Public Employees commits $50 million to farmland fund

Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, committed up to $50 million to Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund II, said Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.

It is the $12.3 billion pension fund’s first commitment to a fund managed by Homestead Capital.
