Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for an active or passive domestic core fixed-income manager to run about $100 million, spokesman Tim Barbour said in an e-mail.
The $12.4 billion pension fund issued an RFP to increase its exposure to fixed income, Mr. Barbour said, noting the actual allocation is 15.9% compared to its target of 19%. Funding will come from rebalancing and/or cash.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on July 29. Finalist presentations are tentatively scheduled for sometime in September, with a decision expected from the investment committee sometime in October.
