Bryony Deuchars joined Aviva Investors as a fund manager in the firm's emerging market equities team, said a spokesman.
The role is new; Ms. Deuchars is based in London. Reporting to Will Ballard, head of emerging market and Asia-Pacific equities, Ms. Deuchars focuses primarily on generating ideas for and on portfolio management of the Aviva Investors Emerging Markets Equity Income, and Emerging Markets Equity Small Cap funds, which are run by Mr. Ballard.
“(Ms. Deuchars) has a very strong track record on both country and equity analysis, and a deep understanding of what drives emerging markets,” said Mr. Ballard in a news release “This background is an excellent fit as we continue to grow the team.”
Ms. Deuchars previously was a senior equity analyst at Schroders, covering emerging markets.
Aviva Investors has £290 billion ($375.5 billion) of assets under management.
