Frank Chen joined PIMCO in Hong Kong as a senior vice president and credit research analyst, focused on China's property sector.
The position is new, said a spokeswoman for Pacific Investment Management Co. “Mr. Chen will be responsible for credit research on China's property sector in addition to other Asia ex-Japan real estate coverage,” a PIMCO news release said. He will report to Raja Mukherji, PIMCO's Hong Kong-based executive vice president and head of credit research, Asia.
Mr. Chen was head of research, greater China at CBRE. Sam Xie, who served as senior director of research, eastern China, has taken over as head of research for greater China.
