Michael Baldinger will join UBS Asset Management as head of sustainable and impact investing, a new position, said UBS spokesman Ollie Gadney.
Mr. Baldinger’s start date has yet to be determined, Mr. Gadney said. He will be responsible for building UBS’ sustainable and impact investing business across the money manager’s various asset classes.
Mr. Baldinger is CEO and a member of the executive committee at Zurich-based sustainable investing firm RobecoSAM. The company is searching for his replacement is underway and will consider both external and internal candidates, a RobecoSAM news release states.
As of Aug. 15, Reto Schwager, RobecoSAM’s head of private equity, will become interim CEO, subject to regulatory approval, said RobecoSAM spokesman Francois Vetri.
