Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System, Jefferson City, is searching for a board asset consultant, said an RFP posted on the $7.8 billion pension fund’s website.
The pension fund has issued an RFP for a firm or individual that will advise the pension fund’s board directly on the overall “reasonableness and prudence of the MOSERS investment program” within 120 days of the signing of the contract, and then regularly advise the board on the investment program, as well as complement “any education provided by MOSERS staff and consultants.”
Investment consultant Summit Strategies Group would continue to advise staff on issues relating to investments, such as the selection and termination of money managers, pension fund spokeswoman Candy Smith said when the RFP was approved in April.
Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. on July 25. Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for Sept. 22, with a decision shortly thereafter.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website.
Governance consultant Cortex Applied Research is assisting.
