Holyoke (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for passive index fund managers to run between $25 million and $35 million, said Cheryl A. Dugre, executive director of the $240 million pension fund.
Holyoke is interested in passive managers that run one or more strategies in the following indexes: S&P 500 or Russell 1000; S&P 400 or Russell Midcap; Russell 2000; MSCI EAFE; MSCI Emerging Markets; U.S. High Yield Bond; and U.S. Treasury Inflation Protected Securities.
The system currently has approximately $35 million in passive strategies. State Street Global Advisors is the system’s current passive index manager and is invited to rebid.
The board will not consider enhanced index strategies and only commingled/pooled funds will be considered.
