Alok Gaur will join real estate manager LaSalle Investment Management as co-head of the firm’s client capital group on July 18, a spokeswoman said.
It is a new position. Mr. Gaur will be based in LaSalle’s Chicago headquarters and report directly to Jeff Jacobson, global CEO. Mr. Gaur will also become a member of LaSalle’s global management committee. Jon Zehner, who is based in London, is currently head of the client capital group and will take on the co-head title after Mr. Gaur starts.
Mr. Gaur was a managing director and partner at The Carlyle Group, where he led the capital raising for Carlyle’s real estate business. “We have a deep investor relations team that includes five real estate specialists,” said Randall Whitestone, Carlyle spokesman, in an e-mail. “We will continue to invest in our team as our client needs dictate.”
